Labour Productivity in State-Owned Enterprises

چکیده

In the aftermath of Global and Financial Crisis, between 2013 2015, Portuguese government revoked four holidays for both public sector private employees. We test whether revocation had an effect on labour productivity in state-owned enterprises (SOEs) Portugal. Moreover, we also study such effects are different taking into account SOEs managed by Central Government or Local Regional Governments. Our results show that did not impact either central local regional SOEs. Though espoused to improve productivity, policy seems have served a ceremonial purpose, but economic one.
